Into BMX from the very first UK craze in the early 1980’s. Moved into freestyle after seeing Bob Haro at the NEC IN 1983.

Due to major surgery i now mainly collect and restore old skool BMX and parts.

About Me

Hi All

Forty something Bmx fanatic from long way back now. I decided to re-visit my youth and start a build on a Ripper as you see. Now please all you hardcore guys dont slate me on this bike, its not exactly retro classic I will give you that, just wanted a bike to blast the pavements with and have a bit fun.....

Its still not 100% complete, and will eventual add the full parts list for you guys check out, basically parts are a pain to get here in Asia so its ship all the way and heavy import duty also. It was originally candy red color, changed my mind on what rims put on it so had it powder coated and lettering hand painted. Obviously a XLP 2009 frame fork set, Skyway graphites, flight cranks and Hutch bear trap pedals with titanium spindles.

The pedals are more for show and have a great set of Shimano for everday use, got the shin and leg scars from when was 12 yrs old with beartraps so wont bother putting them to use. Will be hitting the asphalt in the next couple of days with the bike and will eventually want to look for an original frame, perhaps a Quadangle.

Anyway hope hear from all you fans out there and hopefully some of you will like the look of my project bike. Cheers Scott

Support The Sport!  Keep BMX, Dirt, Vert, Street, Freestyle going!  Visit your local bike shop today!

I use to ride with Greg and Mark back in the day.  That's pretty much all we did was ride and bb gun wars.  Fun times.  BMX/Freestyle kept us out of trouble and getting caught up with the wrong crowd.  We were always looking for cool places to ride.  Mark's backyard was the main stage.  Now days, there are so many places built for riding.  I heard Pineway Ponds Park has a place to ride.  Great to see how far things have progressed and where the sport is now.  It's strange how riding was my whole life and then I had to get a real job.   I've been out of the sport for so long.  I really missed out on some great riding potential we could have had if I stayed in Spencerport.  Now, thanks to Mark and Greg, I'm getting back to my roots and supporting the sport that has given me so many fun years of riding.  It's kept me in shape and out of trouble.  Went out to my local bike shop and they've been hit hard by the economy but they are staying afloat.  Got my ABA membership and hitting the track again.  I'm looking forward to riding and hanging out with the radsters again.
